Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Oosta language-learning app and website (the “Service”), operated by Milad Hajilotfali, an individual sole operator trading as “Oosta” (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority, you confirm that a parent or guardian agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its data.
• Upload or share content that is illegal, abusive, hateful, infringing, or harmful, including in your display name, notes, or interactions with other users.
• Misuse social features (e.g. harassment via friend requests or reactions).

Your content

You retain ownership of content you create (such as personal notes and your display name). You grant us a limited license to store and display that content as needed to operate the Service. You are responsible for the content you submit.

Subscriptions & purchases

Oosta offers a free tier that includes the core course, and an optional paid subscription, Oosta Plus, which unlocks special bonus decks and additional features. Oosta Plus is offered on a monthly or annual basis at the prices shown in the app.

• Purchases and subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, subject to their terms; we do not receive or store your full payment details.
• Oosta Plus is an auto-renewing subscription: it renews for the same period at the then-current price until you cancel. You can manage or cancel it any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and Plus stays active until then.
• Any free trial or introductory offer (where available) automatically converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
• Except where required by law or store policy, payments are non-refundable. Refund requests are handled by the relevant app store.
• Prices and plan features may change; we will give notice of material changes, and a price change will not apply to a period you have already paid for.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its content, design, and learning materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own learning. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute our content without permission.

Service availability & changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or that content is error-free. Oosta is a learning aid and does not guarantee any particular learning outcome.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings → Account management → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, provide notice in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
